The Lansingburgh Historical Society is excited to announce that our celebration of Herman Melville's 207th Birthday we are welcoming local historian Michael Barrett to our August Open House.
Michael will speak on Herman Melville's maternal grandfather, Peter Gansevoort, "The Hero of Fort Stanwix."
Doors open at 10 AM, Michael speaks at 10:30 AM. Following Michael's presentation, the 1786 Herman Melville House will be open until 2 PM for tours.
The Melville House is located at 2 114th St, Troy, NY 12182.
There is a $10 admission at the door
