Hispanic Heritage Month | Frederick's Artists' Impact

Join the City of Frederick for a special Hispanic Heritage Month celebration, featuring New Americans, a heartfelt exhibition honoring the many individuals and families who have chosen to make Frederick and the United States of America their home.

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at the City of Frederick’s Cultural Connections Series on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at City Hall, located at 101 N. Court St., Frederick, MD 21701.

The evening will bring art, culture, and community together through portraits and personal stories that celebrate the resilience, heritage, and hopes of our immigrant neighbors. Local creatives will showcase how Hispanic heritage, storytelling, and artistic expression continue to shape Frederick’s diverse cultural landscape.

The New Americans art exhibit opens at 4:30 p.m., offering an opportunity to explore the exhibition before the event program begins at 5:00 p.m.

Following the exhibition, several featured New Americans will share their journeys and experiences live. Guests are invited to enjoy food, fellowship, and meaningful conversation as we create space for understanding, connection, and shared stories.
