Local children of all ages and their families are invited to the annual Hippity-Hop Easter Egg Hunt from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at The Timbers of Shorewood, 1100 N. River Rd., Shorewood. More than 15,000 eggs have been ordered and filled with candy for this year’s outdoor egg hunt. At 11:30 a.m., children can participate in an outdoor egg hunt on the Timbers’ grounds. The schedule is as follows:
- Children under 5 at 11:30 a.m. (participating with parents help).
- Ages 5 through 12, split into age groups every 10 minutes.
- Each age group repeats until 1:00 p.m., or until the eggs are gone.
The egg hunt will feature prizes for everyone, along with plenty of kid-friendly entertainment including:
- Photos with the Easter Bunny beginning at 11 a.m. (Donations for photos are appreciated and benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.)
- Petting zoo, with 25-30 farmyard animals including: goats, sheep, ducks, geese, chickens, a pot-bellied pig, and a bunny rabbit
- Caricature artists
- Games, prizes, popcorn, hot chocolate, and cookies

The Timbers of Shorewood Senior Living is a rental retirement community that provides senior independent living and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services. Residents whose needs may change are able to stay in the same place and receive appropriate and compassionate care. Furnished apartments are also available for short-term stays.
