Hip Release Workshop:
Unlock your hips with hip releasing poses, followed by a yoga nidra practice with Erin Short

We store pain, trauma, memories, and emotions in our hips. This workshop will use yoga poses to gently and kindly unlock and open your hips to create physical release. Sometimes this can lead to an emotional release as well.

Erin will lovingly lead you through a variety of active, passive, and restorative yoga poses and movements to create release in the body. We will use props such as bolsters, blocks, and straps to allow for full release. All poses are suitable for all levels.
After our hip release, we'll settle into a Yoga Nidra practice to aid in the emotional release aspect of the workshop. Yoga Nidra is also known as yogic sleep, and is a deeply meditative practice that brings the practitioner to a state of relaxed consciousness between waking and sleeping. It allows one to drop down from the thinking mind into the feeling body.
Yoga Nidra has many proven benefits, including improved sleep, improved memory and concentration, reduced stress and anxiety, elevated mood and well-being, and emotional regulation.

About your teacher:
Erin Short is a Yoga Alliance certified yoga teacher and continuing education provider at the E-RYT 500 level. She has accumulated well over 850 hours of education and over 4,000 hours of teaching experience. She is a certified trauma-informed mindfulness facilitator and reiki practitioner.
