Well here we go again... This is the 9th year of the "JCC Rugby Reunion" Lunch. Each one of them has had a story to tell. One of my favourites is when an un-named former pupil came over from Russia and was found naked roaming around Burbage late in the evening. He arrived at 12pm with a bottle of Russian vodka wearing a huge moose fur coat and left with nothing but the skin he was born in! 7 years later, he presented himself at his next JCC dinner in far less buoyant form only to be presented with his original moose fur coat. We didn't want to see him go cold and we are sure the good folk of Burbage couldn’t cope with another exhibition!https://buytickets.at/hinckleyrugbyclub/1772675
On a different note we do have an important notice that you guys could find interesting. The Hinckley School (Former JCC) led by Matt Stocks, fully supported by their educational trust & Hinckley Rugby Club are now establishing a rugby academy starting in Sept 2026. This will be huge for local rugby and hopefully a long awaited pathway to high standard school’s rugby in the local area.
At the lunch, Mr Walsh will MC and we are expecting a few well known guests to be on tables during the day. The guest speaker(s) will be announced over the next few weeks.
We will be raising money for the Hinckley School rugby programme so it would be a joy to see as many people as possible this year to give the guys a bit of a boost in kick starting their rugby programme which has been sadly lacking for too many years.

For many of you that don't know, these lunches have been supported by a number of ex-players who pre-date JCC and actually played for Hinckley Grammar School. They let me know most years that we don’t give them a mention so let’s give them guys a shout out for showing loyalty and duty to the cause, whilst also having a strong affinity for the drink!!
I'm sure this will be a great day as always. Plus the game will be a cracker this year. See you there and book early.
