Hilltop Early Learning Conference: Honoring Children's Experiences

Hilltop's Outreach Institute is so excited to bring back a full-day conference experience for early learning professionals in 2024!

We'll start our day off together with a morning keynote by the internationally renowned Wendy Lee (Director of the Educational Leadership Project of Aotearoa New Zealand) on what it means to hold a strong image of children and families in our programs, followed by four break-out workshops for you to choose from. We'll then wrap up our day with closing remarks from the incredible and inspiring children's embodiment coach, .

Conference Schedule

8:00-8:30: Arrival & Breakfast (optional)

8:30-9:30: Morning Keynote by Wendy Lee

9:30-11:30: Morning Workshop (choose from 2 options)

11:30-12:30: Networking & Lunch (choose from Hilltop-provided or on your own)

12:30-2:30: Afternoon Workshop (choose from 2 options)

2:30-3:00: Closing Remarks by Amelia Bolyard

Option 2: Queering the Classroom: Building a Gender Inclusive Learning Environment - Presented by Samuel Broaden (he/him), ECE Advocate/Trainer/Author

Afternoon Workshops (12:30-2:30pm) - Choose one:

Option 1: The NeuroRelational Framework: Reducing Toxic Stress from a Trauma-Informed Lens - Presented by Amelia Bolyard (she/her), Children's Embodiment & Parent Coach

Option 2: Creating a Neurodiversity-Affirming Classroom Culture - Presented by Maleena Cregg (she/her), Occupational Therapist

3 Ticket Pricing Options - Please select your ticket when you check out:

1) Attendees from DEEL-funded programs: FREE Admission (includes breakfast & lunch)
2) Non-DEEL Attendees - 3 Ticket Options:
a. $50 without meals

b. $65 to add breakfast OR lunch

c. $75 for both breakfast AND lunch

3 ) Virtual Livestream Option -for Keynote only: $15

Each workshop is STARS eligible and will count as 2 hours of STARS Training for Washington State Early Learning Professionals!
