The 26th annual Hill of Truth Festival will take place on October 5th and 6th, 2024 at the Haw Ridge Campground just down from the CVTA HQ on Old Edgemoor Road.
On Saturday October 5th, the mountain bike race will start at 9 a.m. ( check-in will open at 7 a.m.) and continue for 12 hours until 9 p.m. The race course will be approximately 8 miles and include climbing, roots, rocks, and at least one new trail. Racers can compete solo or as a team of 2 or 4 riders. Race one lap. Race fourteen laps. You have 12 hours. Do it as a personal challenge. Do it for fun. Do it to support Clinch Valley Trail Alliance! All proceeds will fund maintenance, improvements and new features at the Dirt Lab skills park at Haw Ridge Park.
Sunday morning, October 6th an approximately 12K distance trail running race, the HOT Trot, will take place on the same course as the mountain biking race at 9 a.m. Haw Ridge is home to a number of trail running races throughout the year and we appreciate all of our trail users. If you don't want to run, you can walk or bring the dog for a hike. There's no limit on your fun, but the cutoff is at 1 p.m.
As always, there will be a free kids race starting at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
Join us for the best party in the woods on two wheels!
The campfire will begin around dusk at the campground and participants are invited to take advantage of free camping Friday before the race as well as on Saturday evening.

27th Annual Hill of Truth Festival
New this year: The HOT Trot trail running race will kick off Saturday morning at 8am to 11am followed by the 12 Hours of the Hill of Truth mountain bike race at 9am until 9pm. Both races will follow the same course. Runners complete one lap.
