Join us for HILARITY BITES THE HIPP this September for an incredible line-up of comedians that have appeared on some of the most popular TV shows in the UK.
Starring BRIDGET CHRISTIE / HARRIET KEMSLEY / IGNACIO LOPEZ / BRENNAN REECE
Topping the bill is BRIDGET CHRISTIE, who has appeared in various TV and radio shows including Have I Got News For You, QI, Harry Hill’s Alien Fun Capsule, The News Quiz, Dilemma, and Taskmaster Series 13 which won her a legion of new fans. Bridget’ has also broken box office records at Soho Theatre and won many awards including, the Foster’s 2013 Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show, the 2014 South Bank Sky Arts Award for Best Comedy, the 2014 Chortle Award for Best Show and a 2014 Hospital 100 Club Award for Performance and Theatre. She was also The Guardian’s No 1 Comedy Show of 2016, won the Chortle Award for Best show 2017 and completely sold out her Edinburgh and West End runs that year. Also in 2016 Bridget’s debut live stand-up special, Stand Up for Her, was streamed on Netflix, making her the first British female comedian with a stand up special on the streaming service. Bridget’s star-studded, critically acclaimed comedy drama series The Change was long-listed for the 2023 TV Choice Awards and nominated in 2024 for both an RTS Comedy Writing Award and a BAFTA Award for her Performance in Comedy, and series two is now airing on Channel 4.
Joining Harriet is HARRIET KEMSLEY, the breakout star of 2025’s Amazon Prime series LOL: Last One Laughing UK. Harriet is an award winning comedian, writer and actress. She was recently seen appearing on Live at the Apollo, starred in the Viceland reality sitcom Bobby and Harriet: Get Married which she co-created and co-wrote with her ex-husband Bobby Mair, to huge critical acclaim. She has also been seen on Dave's Hypothetical, ITV's Hey Tracey, Comedy Central’s Roast Battle, and is a recurring guest on 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and 8 Out of 10 Cats.
IGNACIO LOPEZ provides support following recent appearances on Live at the Apollo, Have I Got News For You, QI, Comedy Central Live, Rhod Gilbert’s Growing Pains, Celebrity Mastermind, and House of Games, alongside two recent sell-out solo UK tours.
Host for the evening is BRENNAN REECE, a multi award winning working class wordsmith from the council estates of Manchester. Over the past few years he has appeared on some of the UK's biggest comedy shows such as Live At The Apollo (BBC), Roast Battle (Comedy Central), The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV), Comedy Central At The Comedy Store (Comedy Central) and Life Lessons (BBC). He has toured his shows all over the world including Melbourne Comedy Festival, New Zealand Comedy Festival and he was also nominated for an Edinburgh Comedy Award (Best Newcomer), BBC New Comedy Award and won English Comedian Of The Year.
