Level up your hiking this summer! Coinciding with our Summer Reading theme, adults can join staff from the Garfield County Libraries on any of our four hikes from June to September or hike at least 20 miles at their leisure. The first hike will be June 14 at the Rifle Falls State Park trails near Rifle, followed by a hike on July 12 at the Red Hill Recreation Area in Carbondale. The next hike will be on August 9 at the Colorow Trail in New Castle, with the final hike on September 13 at the Jeanne Golay Trail in Glenwood Springs. As you progress, you’ll level up and collect different buttons on your way to summit a peak near you. You can pick up a gameboard from your local library. Registration is encouraged and more information about each 8 am Saturday hike will be available online at www.gcpld.org and at all six libraries. This series is free and exclusively for adults.
