Hike With Bob

Get moving before the holidays with the Library as we hike up Mount Wilson Trail to First Water. Learn all about the history of the trail with fun stories and tidbits told by Sierra Madre Trail Maintenance Crew Coordinator, Bob Spears. This hike is roughly 3 miles round trip and is a moderate hike with inclines and direct sunlight.

Please dress appropriately including sun protection (hat and sun screen) as well as hiking shoes with socks. Hydration is important so remember to bring water.

Parking is limited to street parking and may be sparse, please plan to arrive with enough time to find parking.

This hike has limited space available, please register in advance.

Please note the following:

• The trail is a 3.3 mile out-and-back
• The trail to First Water has a 1,062 ft elevation gain
• Plan for the hike to last possibly 2 to 2.5 hours
• Bring extra water, just in case
• The hike will be in full sun, please wear sunscreen
• Wear hiking appropriate footwear
• Wear a hat or sun protection
• Parking is limited to street parking
