Berks Nature owns and manages over 1,300 acres of public land for wildlife habitat and recreation. Join us this spring at a few of Berks Nature's public preserves to discover some of the newest and unexplored parts this vast network protected, natural landscape. Enjoy the fresh air, find your new favorite spot, and enjoy a guided hike through the lens of a naturalist. With so much to explore, there's always something new to discover!
In April, find nature throughout the whimsical trails of Bob's Woods at Earl Poole Sanctuary while slowing down and taking some time to hike and meditate in nature. We try to get a special guest and theme for our hikes to add a little to each one. This month our guest is a Berks Nature Ambassador named Pam. She will guide us on a unique meditative hike designed to deepen our connection with nature. We’ll journey along the trail closest to the entrance, pausing along the way to fully engage our senses—observing, smelling, listening, and touching (if you know what it is) the natural world around us. Our goal is to tune into the season and immerse ourselves in the wisdom that nature has to offer. After the guided hike, you may explore other trails on your own for about fifteen to 20 minutes before gathering for a closing activity.
