Embark on a classic Bay Area adventure with a scenic hike from Tennessee Valley to Muir Beach. Take in sweeping ocean views, spot local wildlife along the way, and a visit to the historic Pelican Inn.Join the Outdoor Adventure Club for a relaxed yet rewarding hike through one of the Bay Area's most scenic coastal trails. Starting in Tennessee Valley, we’ll follow wide, well-maintained trails up to the Coastal Trail, offering panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and the rugged Marin coastline.
This 8-mile loop features moderate elevation changes and occasional stairs to get the heart pumping. Along the way, keep your eyes peeled for local wildlife—deer, coyotes, and even bobcats can be spotted in the valley, while the skies and shoreline are home to a variety of birds, from raptors to shorebirds. If the group is feeling adventurous, we may take a short detour down to Pirates Cove for even more stunning views.
