Hike - Shingle Creek South (Steffee Landing)
About this Event
Hike - Shingle Creek South (Steffee Landing)
Join us for a fun and shady in-person hike at Shingle Creek South, starting from Steffee Landing. It's a great chance to enjoy nature, get some fresh air, and explore beautiful trails. If you are just looking to spend some time outdoors, this event is perfect for all skill levels. Lace up your boots and come experience the beauty of Shingle Creek with us!
Parking will be at the Osceola County History and Welcome Center across the street from Steffee Landing. Park there and meet us on the front porch of the history center. We will cross under US-192 to get to the trail once everyone has gathered and signed in.
Be sure to wear closed-toe shoes (preferably sneakers or hiking shoes) that can get wet/dirty. While the path is mostly shaded, it is still a good idea to dress for a hot and humid Florida day (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and insect repellent). Be sure to bring water and a snack.
Kids: Yes, kids can attend the hike when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Dogs: While leashed dogs are permitted in this park, we do not recommend bringing them. This area does have snakes and gators.
