Hikayet Watani (The Story of My Homeland) is a family-friendly event celebrating the heritage and the history of the Palestinian homeland through art, culture and history. Activities include keynote speakers, story time and Thobe parade. The Palestinian thobes or dresses, represent a very historic and important piece of identity in Palestinian women's livelihood. Each city and village in Palestine has their own unique art style based on geographical location and economic situation. Visit this festival, and bring your family and friends and browse our vendor booths, and engage with our events (listed in the agenda) to learn about and celebrate the history, culture, and identity of Palestine!
