Hightide Burns is a single day event for Warhammer: The Horus Heresy. Whether you are a newer player, experienced veteran, or a fantastic hobbyist itching to show off your recently painted miniatures, this event is a perfect opportunity to spend the day with likeminded hobbyists. ARMY & DETACHMENT SELECTION
Players will need a 3000 point Warhammer: The Horus Heresy army to play in this event. Players must use the crusade army selection rules to muster their army and may use any of the following publications to do so:
→ Liber Astartes
→ Liber Hereticus
→ Liber Auxilia
→ Liber Custodes
→ Liber Mechanicum
→ Liber Questoris
→ Journals Tactica
→ Legacies of the Age of Darkness
In addition to the normal rules for army selection players may not include any models with the Paragon or Superheavy sub-type in their army.
MODELLING REQUIRMENTS
All miniatures must be fully assembled and painted to a battle ready standard. This means all areas of the miniature must be painted and details be picked out with appropriate colours. Proxies/kitbashes are allowed at the tournament organiser’s discretion. If you intend to use any proxies or converted/kitbashed miniatures please contact us before the event.
THE MISSIONS & BATTLEFIELDS
Games will be played on a 6'x4' table with predetermined thematic terrain layouts. Each round will use one of the core mission pack missions as follows:
→ Round 1: The Heart of Battle
→ Round 2: The Crucible of War
→ Round 3: Take and Hold
GLORIOUS VICTORY & FABULOUS PRIZES
This event will be scored using the following three criteria:
→ Generalship
→ Painting
→ Sportsmanship
Players will earn points in each of these three categories by winning games, and getting peer voted painting and sportsmanship scores. There will also be an award for overall hobby which will comprise of the combined generalship, painting, and sportsmanship scores. Each winner will have the opportunity to select a prize from a prize table.
