About this Event
Highland Volunteer Academy - Volunteer Journeys for Nature
We’re delighted to welcome David Field, Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) and trustee with Volunteer Scotland. An Honorary Professor at the Royal Veterinary College, David is also Vice President of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA), where he chairs the Population Management Committee and co-chairs the Reverse the Red initiative. With a career spanning leadership roles in zoos and conservation organisations across the UK and Ireland, David will share his personal reflections of volunteering, reflecting on its power to open doors and drive real impact in conservation.
David will be joined by Lexi, lead for the RZSS Volunteer Programme, who will explore the organisation’s innovative approaches to recognition, rewarding, supporting, and developing volunteers who make a real difference to people, conservation, nature, and the planet.
