Highland Creek Arch Hike

An 11-kilometer hike from Guildwood GO Station to Rouge Hill GO Station takes you along one of Toronto’s most scenic stretches—following Highland Creek and the waterfront, through vibrant ravines, parklands, and natural habitats nestled right in the city’s eastern edge. Experience lush forest corridors, scenic creek valleys, and a series of waterfront parks teeming with birdlife and wildlife. The trail reveals expansive lake views, hidden pebble beaches, and a glimpse of the Scarborough Bluffs. Paved paths, bridges, and winding naturalistic segments offer variety and a true sense of urban escape.

Let's Hike T.O. is a hiking community open to everyone with a focus on newcomers, people of colour, and young adults. All are welcome on our walks!

Start Point: Guildwood Go Station, 4105 Kingston Road, Scarborough, ON M1E 2M3 LINK. Plan to arrive at the start point at 9:45 am sharp as we aren't able to wait for latecomers.

End Point: Rouge Hill GO Station, 6251 Lawrence Avenue East, Toronto, ON M1C 5G4. LINK.

Length: 11 km

Pace of hike: 4km per hour - Moderate

Difficulty: Intermediate

Terrain Type: Paved Paths, bridges, and some winding dirt trails which may be snow covered.

Dog-friendly: No

Family-friendly:(suitable for young people 17 and under) No

Stroller-friendly: (paved trails accessible for strollers) No

Hiking Boots: Recommended but not essential.
Walking Poles: Not Required.
Ice cleats/crampons: Not required.

Registration fee: $4.08 + Eventbrite fees though if you cannot afford it, please contact us at [email protected] to request a discounted ticket based on your circumstances.

Limited tickets: This hike is restricted to 25 registrants. Tickets will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis and are non-refundable.

Pre-hike email: Registrants will receive additional details by email the day before the hike, such as what to bring on the day, what to wear, etc.

Weather precautions: The hike will take place regardless of rain, wind, or snow so please dress accordingly! We will only cancel or postpone the hike if weather conditions are considered extreme or dangerous, in which case registered hikers will be informed 48 hours in advance.
