Higher Ground- Kayak and Lunch for Military, Veterans and First Responders

Join us for a fun-filled day on the water! Let's meet at Burning River Adventures behind water works in Cuyahoga Falls. We'll paddle our kayaks 4.5 miles or 2 hours through beautiful scenery and then refuel with a tasty lunch together at Burntwood Tavern. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a first-timer, this is a great chance to relax, meet new friends, and enjoy the outdoors. Don’t forget to bring your sunglasses and a big smile! Let’s make some awesome memories in person!

This trip is 4.5 miles and takes approximately 2 hours (depending on water level & how much you paddle). It has 2 swift moving water areas (easy to navigate) along the route. This trip is enjoyable for all!

All rentals are expected to be returned within average paddling times for each trip.

• All tours meet at Water Works Park (By the Boat Launch)!
• Burning River Adventure provide the ride, boat, life jacket and paddle!
• Burning River Adventure has cell phone dry bags that you may rent! You will need to cover this fee.

Please sign waviers that will be provided and let Candace the ambassador know once completed. We must have our Higher Ground waviers and paperwork completed and Burning River Adventure waviers complete inorder for you to participate.

Directions once you pull into the park:
Once you turn into the park entrance go past the aquatic center until you come to the STOP sign. Turn LEFT to go towards the boat launch and park in one of the parking areas you see on the map below.

Be prepared to potentially get wet! Water shoes or old tennis shoes are HIGHLY recommended. Flip-flops are NOT recommended!

Everyone must have a signed waiver and rental agreement to take a trip.

All waivers MUST be fill out via our electronic waiver system PRIOR to arriving.

Please fill out our electronic waiver prior to arriving! If you have other people in your group, please pass along the link in your confirmation email!

Please arrive 30 minutes prior to trip start time to check in. ARRIVE BY 8:30AM our start time is 9am on July 18th. We depart as close to trip time as possible. If you are not checked-in at trip depart time our shuttle will leave without you.
