From overcoming childhood trauma, poverty and homelessness to building an exceptional 24-year career in policing, serving in specialist units including the Rape Squad, Child Abuse Squad, undercover operations and criminal forensic profiling before attaining the rank of Sergeant of Police, her story is nothing short of inspiring.
Now a practising Solicitor on the Mid North Coast, specialising in Criminal Defence and Wills & Estates, Charmain continues to make a difference through mentoring future law students and volunteering with organisations including Lifeline Mid Coast. Her powerful message reminds us that our past does not define our future, and that courage, determination and purpose can transform even life's greatest challenges into a lasting impact.
