High Plains Chautauqua Movie Fundraiser: 1776 The MusicalCelebrate America's 250th anniversary with High Plains Chautauqua at a special fundraiser screening of "1776," the beloved musical that brings the founding of the United States to life through unforgettable songs, spirited debate, and larger-than-life historical figures.
Set during the pivotal summer of 1776, the film follows John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and their fellow delegates as they wrestle with the ideas that would shape a new nation. Both entertaining and thought-provoking, 1776 offers a unique look at the people and principles behind the Declaration of Independence.
