High Flyer

Whether they’re lighting up Toronto stages, opening for Canadian icons, or stripping things back around an acoustic stage, High Flyer carries one message through every song: connection. Since forming in 2019, the band has built a following on the strength of honest songwriting, tight arrangements and the kind of chemistry that only comes from five guys who live for the music they make together.
Drawing on influences like The 1975, Arkells, and Donovan Woods, High Flyer blends contemporary alt-rock with thoughtful folk storytelling. Their sound is clean, dynamic and melodic, capturing both energy and nuance in every arrangement.
In 2022, they performed at The Andy Kim Christmas Show at Massey Hall in support of CAMH and joined Barenaked Ladies on their Hometown Holidays tour across Ontario. With their debut EP Manuka (2021) and two singles gaining international radio play, High Flyer continues to make music that moves people on stage, on record and everywhere in between.

Gavin McLeod is a 25-year-old rock artist from Toronto, Canada. A multi-talented singer-songwriter and guitarist, Gavin began playing music at just 10 years old. His passion led him from early gigs and festivals to forming a band with close friends, who now accompany him in creating vibrant, live-off-the-floor recordings.
Blending heartfelt lyricism with infectious melodies, Gavin draws inspiration from a range of influences—spanning 1970s singer-songwriters to modern UK indie rock. In 2019, he made his debut with the EP The Hollow, setting the stage for his upcoming full-length album, The Constant Astonishment, produced by industry veteran Ross Hayes Citrullo. The album showcases Gavin’s dynamic songwriting, his band’s natural chemistry, and a fusion of alt-country, pop rock, and 90s Brit-rock energy.
Beyond the studio, Gavin has appeared on television, founded successful charity initiatives, and built a strong online following through his engaging YouTube presence. His authenticity and dedication resonate with audiences, making him one of Canada’s most promising talents.
