The Black History Gallery invites you to a special Alumni Circle honoring Higgins and Burglund High School, a historic Black school located in the Burglund neighborhood of McComb, Mississippi.This gathering is created as a space for former students, faculty, staff, family members, and community friends to come together and share memories, stories, and reflections from a powerful era in Black education and community life.
Higgins and Burglund High was more than a school, it was a place where excellence, discipline, pride, and possibility were nurtured during challenging times. The stories of those who walked its halls matter, and this alumni circle is an opportunity to preserve oral history, honor educators, and pass lived experiences on to future generations.
Guests are encouraged to bring:
