Discover the amazing stories, such as Hardit Singh Malik: Britain's first Indian fighter pilot.
About this Event

British history has always been diverse. Yet many important and fascinating characters have remained unheard. Come along and discover the amazing story of Hardit Singh Malik - Britain's first Indian fighter pilot and former resident of Oxford. From rebel princesses to muleteers in World War Two, it's time to bring these voices to life, and celebrate their contributions to History.

Come along to hear award winning author Bali Rai bring unheard stories to life!

There are 3 sessions throughout the day: 11.00-12.00, 13.00-14.00, 14.30-15.30

Please make sure to arrive on time. We allow a 10-minute grace period for late arrivals. After this point, we cannot guarantee admission to the activity.

This workshop is suitable for ages 8 and over.

Tickets cost £5 per child and can be purchased online via Eventbrite (booking fee applies) or at the Museum Shop. Each child ticket includes free entry for one accompanying adult. It also includes access to the Galleries. Children must be supervised at all times.

We recommend booking in advance to secure your place.

Sales from tickets help support our work to deliver fun and accessible family activities, community engagement projects, schools workshops, exhibitions and special events for Oxford’s people in our Museum spaces.
