This is an all ages event, adult riders are very welcome . Course will be walked in the morning between 9 and 9:30 . We will not be offering the dressage component of a traditional Hickstead Derby this year, the course will be a combination of Showjumps and XC ( vests will be required, we do have a couple of kids vests for borrowing ) .
We have jumps ranging from Intro to B grade, with a couple of A grade heights in there . There is something for everyone , and after your initial competitive run at your graded height, you will be able to do a second run, and choose your line - you can jump any jump on the grounds , so long as it's at your graded height, or the one below or above.
We have a bank jump, a ditch, a stone wall, shapes and sizes of all kinds, logs and some jumps we can't really describe, the course is quite long, with some really nice canter stretches in there.
Entries are via just go, sing out if you have a problem, camping is available the night before, but we do not have showers on site.
Standard vest helmet boots required, we are happy for Rally day attire to be worn.
Jump Card to be produced on the day, ribbons up to fifth place
Second horse permitted, no more than 2 runs permitted per horse. Family discount applies for 3rd and subsequent riders from the same immediate family.
It's really a very relaxed day, no pressure, if you just want to pop around at intro you are very welcome
