Hiatus Retreats- The Story Always Wins

This is a 3 day, 2 night, weekend retreat for adults.

4:00PM CST Friday Nov 1, 2024- 11:00 AM CST Sunday Nov 3, 2024 .

The intention we’ve set for the weekend is to provide you with much-needed rest, paired with diving in and examining your patterns. We aim to help you unpack some of your story, gain insight, and begin to change beliefs and behaviors.

We’ve curated a fantastic team of facilitators who will co-host the retreat. Across the weekend we will cover some themes from thought leaders like Jeffrey Young and Brene' Brown, and use that to talk about how narratives are formed, identify what doesn't serve you, and move towards change. We’ll also incorporate yoga, expressive art, nature walks and other complimentary experiences.

A note from the founder:

"The Story Always Wins" has been my business motto since I went into solo private practice in 2017. I started saying it organically when I worked in drug and alcohol addiction treatment and we would talk in therapy groups about how some people had been in multiple treatment centers and were chronically relapsing. We talked about how just knowing what to do logically isn't the whole assignment. We have to find the why, and what is driving it- which turned out to be story every time.

Stories of deserving, stories of shame, stories of fear.

This will be intensive work, done in our favorite magical pyramid in the hill country outside Wimberley. I invite you to come hang out with us in the woods and learn more about yourself. I’ve put together retreats that I wish had been offered when I needed it most. I have tried to provide both a setting and content that will be meaningful, without keeping you so busy you can’t enjoy the break. It is an opportunity for growth and connection, but also designed to give you permission to tune out the world and pour energy back into yourself.  All you have to do is show up.
