Every year, we ask ourselves a simple question: what does it look like to love our neighborhood well? 💛
On Sunday, September 13, Fellowship Hi-Crest is hitting the streets for our annual Serve Day — and this year we're celebrating National Night Out with our neighbors right after.
Here's how the day unfolds:
⏰ 9:00 AM — We gather in the gym for a time of worship, then break into teams and head out to serve
🛠️ 9:00–11:45 AM — Teams fan out across the community doing real, hands-on work:
👕 Free laundry service at Highland Crest Laundromat (455 SE 29th St) — welcoming guests and washing, drying, and folding laundry at no cost
🗑️ Neighborhood cleanup — picking up litter in Fremont Hill and the Hi-Crest neighborhood
🚛 Tire pickup — removing discarded tires to make our streets safer and cleaner
🚨 Smoke alarm installation — going door-to-door with the American Red Cross to help keep families safe at home
🌭 11:45 AM — Everyone returns to the church to celebrate National Night Out with our neighbors — a free hot dog lunch and bingo open to the whole community
