About this Event
Hey, Good For You is a Chinese + Asian winter experience built around the things that make us feel good, bringing together black sesame, traditional Chinese medicine, Mahjong, tea, Asian food & drinks, beauty, fashion, music, and more.
And because San Francisco doesn’t really get winter...
we’re bringing the snow indoors. ❄️
WHAT'S HAPPENING
Day Time Ticket (3-7 PM)
🀄 Mahjong Hall with 13 Orphans
Pull up and play from 3–10 PM.
Whether you're a Mahjong pro or have never touched a tile, there's a seat for you. Learn the game with beginner tables and teachers, join open play, or reserve a table in advance.
Walk-ins are free and can join the queue system. Want to guarantee a spot for your group? Reserve a table in advance for a 1-hour session.

🎲 Chinese Games
Bring your game face. Play classics like Guandan 掼蛋, Dou Dizhu 斗地主, and Go, plus modern Chinese and Asian-American games. Grab some friends, learn something new, and see who comes out on top.
🌿Apothecary / TCM
Explore traditional winter ingredients through scent, tea, and hands-on blending..
You can also join a herbal sachet workshop using a selection of herbs and botanicals, then take your creation home as a seasonal decoration. Workshop available with a separate ticket.

Step into a snowy Chinese period-drama street with glowing storefronts, cinematic sets, a snowy tree, Apothecary, Fortune Teller, Rouge Shop, and falling snow.
👘 Hanfu Fashion Show + Rentals
See beautiful hanfu come to life in a roaming fashion show throughout the event, featuring looks from the Northern California Hanfu Association.
Want to join in? Rent a hanfu, dress up, and take your own C-drama-worthy photos as you explore the event.
🎬Vertical Drama
Recreate the short C-dramas you see all over your For You Page. Step into a 15–30 second scene, choose your storyline, and film it on your phone.
📸 How to Pose
Steal the pose, not the spotlight. Learn the iconic poses and gestures you see all over Chinese social media, then try them yourself, from dramatic C-drama moments to hanfu, snow, umbrella, couple, friend, and solo shots.
🥢 Food
Dig into black sesame treats, Chinese comfort foods, and other savory winter bites from local food vendors.
Food vendors will be available from 3–7 PM, with select vendors staying later.
🍸 Barmacy
Your grandma’s apothecary, after dark. Sip on cocktails and mocktails inspired by black sesame, TCM ingredients, and winter flavors.
🍵 Tea Tasting
Slow down and sip your way through a selection of Chinese teas with Moonlit Mercantile Tea Company. Learn about different teas, flavors, and traditions through a guided tasting experience.
💄 Beauty + Wellness
Traditional rouge, contemporary Chinese makeup/skincare, gua sha, Chinese coin bracelet, Tai Chi, Baduanjin, martial arts, and educational wellness demonstrations.

As the sun goes down, the night comes alive. Dance to a 2-hour DJ set of C-pop remixes and keep the party going after dark.

Get hands-on with a few creative experiences inspired by beauty, wellness, and everyday rituals.

Create your own custom lipstick using flower and plant-based ingredients, and leave with a shade you made yourself.
