Who are Fool’s Gold?
Fool’s Gold is Acoustic Musicians Carol & Steve Robson, they perform all over the UK and present many shows for organisations, Village Halls and Theatres. Fool’s Gold presents unique shows that combine live music, linked to a story and backed by fascinating projected visuals - there’s something in all their shows to help audiences sing, think, laugh and learn.
What is ’Beat The Drum’?
Beat The Drum commemorates the First World War in songs, stories and images. The show is a musical treat, told through true stories and supported by projected images and video. The show tells the story of the Great War, using the experiences of Pt. Michael Heaviside VC as a reference point and ‘guide’. The show treats the subject with respect, but certainly is not a sombre occasion - it contains plenty of audience involvement and a good few smiles along the way. The show has lots of songs and music (all performed completely live) and uses a large screen to project images. Fool’s Gold Music Carol and Steve play a variety of mostly acoustic instruments live - there are no backing tracks here! The material is a mixture of original and period songs. The style is hard to pin down as it spans lots of genres from contemporary folk, Americana and traditional music.
Tickets cost £8 and can be booked online at Eventbrite.
