About this Event

Action scenes are about more than punches, kicks, and falls—they’re about storytelling. Whether you’re playing the hero, the villain, or someone caught in between, every movement should reveal character, intention, and emotion.

The Heroes & Villains Workshop is a hands-on, two-day training experience designed to help actors, stunt performers, and storytellers develop the physical skills needed to create compelling action on screen and stage. Through guided instruction and practical exercises, you’ll learn the fundamentals of fight choreography, character-driven movement, and safe performance practices while exploring how physicality can deepen your acting choices.

Over the course of the workshop, you’ll participate in vocal and physical warm-ups, learn strikes, reactions, and falls, and gain a clear understanding of how fight choreography works both on and off camera. You’ll also explore movement, partner interaction, timing, and the collaborative process that allows performers to create dynamic and believable action safely.

This is an active workshop. You’ll spend more time doing than watching, working directly with instructors and fellow participants to build skills through repetition, experimentation, and feedback. No previous fight training is required—just a willingness to learn, move, and collaborate.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with practical tools you can immediately apply to auditions, performances, self-tapes, student films, and professional productions, along with a stronger understanding of how physical storytelling can elevate your work as a performer.
