Join Castle Hill Heritage Skills CIC at the Ancient Technology Centre, Cranborne, Dorset BH21 5RP for a whole weekend of heritage textile skills.Our experts are:

Vanessa Bunton -Puku B Historic Experiences
Jalea Ward - Slightly Warped Looms
Jenny Heath - Drakos Dottir Viking Textiles
You will have 4 sessions over the mornings and afternoons of both Saturday 7th June and Sunday 8th June.
These will all be in a heritage textile skill such as:
- Twining
- Loom weaving
- Stone Age sewing kit
- Natural Dyeing
Tickets are £215.00 for the weekend tutoring and evening talk. The ticket price includes a unique bag full of all the supplies needed for the workshops, a collection of resources unavailable as a package anywhere else.
We are working on providing an evening meal on Saturday 7th June for a small extra fee to extend your day and the community we will be creating of textile enthusiasts over the weekend. This would cost around £15 extra. Please select as an add-on when purchasing a ticket.
We are unsure about accommodation at this stage. There are local options for B&B and camping near Cranborne if you look online. In the past there has been an option to stay over in the Viking Longhouse at the Ancient Technology Centre, there are limited spaces are tickets will be available for that if it becomes an option. If this becomes available it would be limited numbers and for an extra £20 per person. If available please select as an add on when purchasing the ticket.
There may be parking for a very small number of campervans on the Ancient Technology Centre car park- this will be at the discretion of the centre and not linked to Castle Hill Heritage Skills.
