Enjoy a free day out at Coventry Charterhouse on 19 and 20 September, with Heritage Open Days and the River Festival bringing history, culture, nature and family-friendly activities together in one special weekend.
Discover one of Coventry's most historic treasures while celebrating the River Sherbourne and the local community that surrounds it.
Explore the historic Charterhouse building, including its remarkable medieval and Tudor wall paintings, wander the peaceful walled garden and grounds, and uncover centuries of fascinating stories.
As part of the River Festival Coventry, visitors can enjoy a programme of free activities between 11am and 4pm each day, including theatrical performances, live music, storytelling sessions, guided river walks, interactive crafts and creative workshops.
Meet and take photos with the Sherbourne Valley Project's mascot, Lady Good-Diver, and visit a variety of local nature and heritage organisations offering hands-on activities and opportunities to learn more about Coventry's natural and cultural heritage.
The Farmers Fayres café will be open throughout the weekend, serving food and refreshments.
