PM, as Tziavii "Rose" Stevens leads an engaging class exploring the history, origin,
meaning, and symbolism of the dreamcatcher.
Follow along as Rose guides you step by-step in crafting your own dream catcher, combining tradition and creativity!
Rose has been a part of the Pueblo Heritage Museum
since 2022, bringing a lifetime of experience in Native
American crafts. Growing up immersed in these traditions,
she has always pursued perfection in her art. Rose is a
multi-talented artist with hobbies that include fan-making,
painting drums, crafting and painting rattles, beading, and
sewing.
Tziavii "Rose" Stevens is of Paiute and Chicana heritage,
raised on the reservation in Yerington, Nevada. She grew
up attending Powwows and performing Aztec dancing.
Currently, she serves as the official drummer for Grupo
Xochitl, a local Aztec group that has been active for over
15 years. Rose has also passed on her passion, involving
her son in both Aztec dancing and Native American
Powwow dancing.
