Celebrate our 331 year Heritage at Knorhoek Wine Farm
Join us for a memorable Heritage Day celebration.
Nestled against the Simonsberg Mountain, Knorhoek boasts a rich history dating back to 2nd September 1694, making it one of Stellenbosch’s oldest farms. To celebrate this milestone, we are hosting a family-friendly Buffet Braai experience.
Event Highlights:
Traditional South African Braai: Enjoy a mouth-watering selection of grilled meats, boerewors, and vegetarian sides, all prepared to perfection.
Social Table: Seating for the day is set up as one long table so you can get to know your fellow braai and wine lovers, separate family tables can be arranged.
Heritage Wines: Enjoy a welcome wine and access to our finest wines made from our Heritage Vineyards.
Live Music: Groove to the tunes of a local musician, adding a festive vibe to the day.
Kid Friendly: Fun and engaging spaces for the little ones.
Limited: Only 40 tickets are available so book your seats as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
Vintage Vertical: The Masterclass will be an hour long starting promptly at 11am.

Vintage Vertical
For the first time ever, you can participate in a masterclass with our winemaker for a tasting of three different vintages of the Chenin Blanc and three of the Cabernet Sauvignon to understand our revered history. Select the combo ticket of Masterclass + Buffet Braai option to secure your seat. The Masterclass will be an hour long starting promptly at 11am.
Chenin Blanc
Crafted from a single heritage-certified block planted in 1980, this Chenin Blanc is made using a small-batch approach, with each section of the vineyard harvested and vinified separately.
This Chenin Blanc balances its hallmark freshness with enhanced fullness and a luxurious texture. Vibrant acidity lifts notes of peach, apricot, lime, melon, green apple, and white pear, with a touch of pineapple adding intrigue.
Cabernet Sauvignon
The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grow high in the hills above Knorhoek in highly oxidised Hutton and Clovelly soils to provide the perfect terroir for an authentic and balanced Cabernet Sauvignon.
This wine opens with red berries, cranberries, and cassis aromas, followed by layers of sour cherry, flint, and leather. The palate reveals juicy dark fruits and ripe plums, wrapped in soft velvety tannins for a refined texture.
