Junior Vocational Short Course: Acting & Performance Technique 🎭📢
Location: Hereford
Format: 5-Day Intensive Educational Module (English Language)
Introduction Calling all aspiring young performers in Hereford!
The International British Theatre School, in educational partnership with Hereford Cathedral School, is proud to present our Junior Vocational Short Course.
Our Educational Mission We identified a gap in professional arts education: young performers often have to travel to London to receive industry-standard training. We are changing that.
Our Junior Short Courses bring qualified British industry professionals directly to schools in the EU. Our goal is not just recreation, but Vocational Preparation. We equip students with the technical stagecraft, public speaking confidence, and social skills required to begin a successful path in the performing arts or any future career.
Curriculum Overview This course is designed as a Foundation Level introduction to professional stage work. It is suitable for beginners but requires a commitment to learning.
Language Immersion: Taught entirely in English by native speakers. A fantastic opportunity for non-native speakers to improve their Vocational English skills.
Skill Acquisition: Students follow a structured syllabus covering Voice, Movement, and Script Analysis.
"The only way to improve public speaking confidence... is to study the technique and practice before an audience!"
Parent Information: Educational Standards We operate under strict professional guidelines to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
✅ Flexible Booking: 100% refunds up to 21 days before the course start date.
✅ Accredited Standards: We operate as a registered GmbH (Germany) and align with UK Safeguarding standards (Ofsted-compliant procedures).
✅ Bilingual Support: Taught by native English speakers with support for German speakers.
✅ Public Examination: The week concludes with a 25-minute Theatre Production, demonstrating the skills learned to an audience of parents.
✅ Professional Production Values: We provide all scripts, costumes, and scenery to simulate a professional working environment.
✅ Focused Tuition: Small class sizes (8–12 students) ensure individual diagnostic attention.
✅ Qualified Faculty: Taught exclusively by professional actors and pedagogues.
Student Experience: What You Will Achieve
Scenography & Prop Design: Learn the technical art of building the world of the play. 🎭🎨
Physical Conditioning: Daily coordination and movement sessions (Sports/Team Building). 🏐🤸
Role Allocation: Every student is cast in a specific role with a minimum of 6 lines to memorize and perform. 💬
Ensemble Building: Work with like-minded peers from your city. 👯‍♀️
Certification: Receive a Certificate of Achievement (Foundation Level) upon completion. 🏅
Note: During summer heatwaves, physical conditioning may be substituted with supervised water-based team building activities! 🔫💧

P.S. We channel energy into art. If children are loud at home, we teach them how to project that voice professionally on stage.
P.P.S. Our faculty visits your location only once per year—do not miss this opportunity for professional development close to home.
