Join us for a timely public policy discussion exploring the economic, environmental, and community impacts of solar energy development in our region.
Doug Brown, Chief Utility Engineer at City Water, Light & Power, will provide insight into CWLPโs recent solar contracts and highlight the critical role of a diverse energy mix in ensuring long-term sustainability and reliability.
Ryan McCrady, President & CEO of the Springfield Sangamon Growth Alliance, will share updates on solar developments across Sangamon County. He will also discuss how site location decisions are made and explain the role of community benefits agreements in supporting local growth and equity.
The program will be moderated by Chris Richmond and will conclude with approximately 15 minutes of audience Q&A.
