About: This is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of birdwatching and meet like-minded people in the local community.Date: Third Sunday each month (please continue to check WAGL website for specific dates here: https://www.wagouldleague.com.au/events)
Time: 8.00 - 10.00am (in Winter, different times in Summer)
Presenters: BirdLife Western Australia
Cost: FREE for WAGL Friends and BirdLife Australia members (use coupon code BIRDLIFE100 at checkout when buying tickets); $10 for general public. All funds raised go back to BirdLife WA and WAGL to support our environmental educational programs and to keep the centre running.
What’s included: Presentation on Herdsman Lake birdlife, bird watching techniques and how to use binoculars effectively. Guided birdwalk around the picturesque Herdsman Lake where you are guaranteed to see a variety of birdlife. Also included is tea and coffee making facilities and free entry to the Discovery Centre during the event. Barista coffee also available to purchase from our coffee window Twitchers. Binoculars will be provided for participants who don’t own a pair.
What to bring: Water bottle, hat, suitable clothing for weather conditions (recommended not to wear anything bright), binoculars or spotting scope if you have one.
