HERD: Join us at the Parkway!

HERD hosts regular events featuring amateur storytelling performances by women, for women.

HERD provides a safe and empowering space for women to share their stories—there will be no judging or winners. We draw inspiration from other storytelling platforms like NPR's The Moth, but with a women-centered, joy-forward focus. You can simply be part of the audience and support the storytellers, or you can throw your name into the hat to be one of the 10 featured storytellers.

Interested in sharing your story? If so, please keep it under 5 minutes and make sure it's true as you remember it and personal. Also- no notes! These stories are told from the heart.

This show lands on Earth Day, and our theme is OUTSIDE—outside the norm, the script, the noise. It’s where the wild things are and where women find clarity, courage, and connection. We've all been outsiders. OUTSIDE brings together stories of exclusion, inclusion, reinvention, and the unexpected beauty of finding your own way in. It celebrates every step beyond the familiar—into the woods, onto the ledge, past our fears, or outside the lines someone else drew. These stories remind us how much we grow when we step out into the open.
