About this Event
Come join us at Evergreen Farm in West Newbury, MA for a fun and inspiring hands-on workshop exploring the amazing world of pine trees!
Here in the Northeast, pine trees are everywhere—but they’re more than just majestic evergreens. Did you know that pines, especially the Eastern White Pine, have incredible medicinal properties?
In Massachusetts, we’re lucky to have this special tree. In fact, it was once so valuable that in 1722, cutting down a pine over 12 inches in diameter without permission was a crime—those trees were reserved for the British Royal Navy! Beyond its historical significance, Eastern White Pine is known for its healing benefits, including soothing coughs, supporting skin healing, and more.
During this workshop, our founder and herbalist, Leanne Shafner, will lead a short, refreshing trail walk to meet some Eastern White Pine friends up close. You’ll learn how to identify and forage pine, and you’ll make your very own Pine Honey to take home!
While you're at the farm, be sure to visit the farm store for fresh Evergreen Farm goods and Lioness Aromatics products—perfect for supporting your natural wellness journey.
