Join us for this presentation to learn how herbs have been found to have medicinal properties that can aid in promoting health and wellness.The use of herbs dates way back for thousands of years, back to ancient civilizations such as Egypt, Greece and China. Traditional healers have relied on the healing properties of plants to treat a wide range of ailments, from minor skin irritations to chronic illnesses. Iowa is also home to a diverse range of native plants that have been used for centuries for their medicinal and healing properties. You might even have a few in your own backyard!
Cost $10 for general admission; $2.50 for GHVM members (please show your membership card). **There are 2 drop downs for you to choose from if you pre-register. Otherwise, you can pay upon arrival.
Note: The presentation will be followed by a guided tour of the museum.
