Her Story with Claire Clutterham MP
About this Event
Every career has a story behind it. The opportunities taken, the challenges navigated, the decisions that change direction and the experiences that shape the leader you become.
For the next instalment of Adelaide Women in Procurement's Her Story series, we're delighted to welcome Claire Clutterham MP, Federal Member for Sturt, for an inspiring and candid conversation about her career, leadership and the path that ultimately led her to Federal Parliament.
Claire's career has taken her from Adelaide to the Middle East and Hong Kong, through senior roles across law and Australia's defence industry, into community leadership and board positions, and ultimately to Canberra.
Her story is one of career evolution, courage, adaptability and stepping forward when opportunities arise.
This event is an opportunity to hear the story behind the position, including the experiences, decisions and lessons that have shaped Claire's professional journey and approach to leadership.
Alongside an inspiring conversation, guests will have the opportunity to connect and network with women from across procurement, supply chain and the broader business community.
A Warm Welcome to Claire Clutterham MP
Claire Clutterham was elected as the Federal Member for Sturt on 3 May 2025 and currently serves across several Parliamentary Committees, including Foreign Affairs, Defence & Trade, Treaties, Social Policy and Legal Affairs, and Cyber Security & Small Business.
A lawyer by profession, Claire was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in South Australia in 2005 and later to the High Court of Australia. Her career took her internationally, working as a lawyer in the Middle East and Hong Kong for close to a decade before returning to Adelaide in 2017.
Since returning home, Claire has held senior legal roles with ASC and Boeing Defence Australia, served as a Principal at LK Law, an elected councillor with the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters and a Board Member of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (SA/NT).
Outside of her professional life, Claire is a keen runner and, in her own words, a "netball tragic."
