We look forward to warmly welcoming you this Black History Month for an inspiring day of cultural reflection, connection and aspiration, as we come together to celebrate the richness of Black history and the power of collective community.
Following the success of our inaugural Women’s Well-being Brunch Series, we are delighted to bring together women and practitioners for a special day of learning, celebration and growth.
What to Expect
Her History
We begin by stepping back in time and exploring the story of Queen Charlotte.
London Blue Badge Tourist Guide Anne-Marie Walker MITG will explore the life and historical context of the real Queen Charlotte, considering the connections—and differences—between history and her portrayal in the television series Bridgerton.
Our Stories
Lorlett Hudson FRSA will inspire and empower us through stories, wisdom and cultural heritage.
A multi-award-winning inventor, leadership facilitator and creator of the acclaimed Things Mama Used To Say Jamaican proverbs cards, Lorlett will explore raising our aspirations while valuing and preserving our cultural heritage.
Drawing on her own journey and the wisdom passed down through generations, she will encourage us to reflect on what we carry with us, what inspires us, and how we can use that wisdom to shape our own journeys and futures.
Collective Futures
Throughout the day, there will be opportunities to connect and converse with other women.
However, we recognise that this can feel uncomfortable for some. If you prefer a gentler approach to connection, please don’t feel pressured to participate. If you feel comfortable, let us know what would help you feel at ease, and we will do our best to support you. We want the day to feel welcoming, inclusive and comfortable for everyone.

We will close with space to reflect, share and consider what we carry forward—individually and collectively.
Because when we know our history, value our stories and connect with one another, we create stronger foundations for the futures we want to build.

Lorlett Hudson FRSA
Lorlett Hudson FRSA is a multi-award-winning inventor, global leadership facilitator and coach. She is the inventor of the acclaimed Things Mama Used To Say Jamaican proverbs cards and founder and CEO of One Hand Cant Clap, a learning and development enterprise. Her work focuses on culture transformation and leadership effectiveness.
Anne-Marie Walker MITG
Anne-Marie Walker MITG is a qualified City of London Guide and London Blue Badge Tourist Guide with a passion for London’s history and stories. With a background in tourism and education, Anne-Marie brings the city's past to life through engaging and informative tours and presentations.
Bianca James Founder, Sistar Syndicate CIC
Bianca James is an educator, community curator and founder of Sistar Syndicate CIC. With over 14 years’ experience across education, local authorities and services supporting children and families, Bianca is passionate about inclusion, community and creating spaces where women feel supported, encouraged and able to flourish collectively.
