Filled with original furniture, artwork, and personal belongings, it offers an intimate glimpse into the life and creative legacy of Dame Ngaio Marsh. It’s a beautifully preserved space where her creativity and influence still feel alive.

Riccarton House, where you’ll be guided through the home of Jane Deans: a pioneering settler, businesswoman and community advocate. Explore the earliest settler cottage, explore her later family home and wander through the surrounding bush,, discovering how her leadership and environmental stewardship helped shape early Ōtautahi Christchurch.

Your last guided tour is of Next, you’ll be guided through Kate Sheppard House: the hub and heart of Aotearoa’s suffrage campaign. This uniquely significant home was the powerhouse from which Kate Sheppard led the fight for women’s right to vote. Reflect on how this place helped secure one of Aotearoa’s most important civil rights reforms.
