Our cozy Wanderlust Scents storefront is located inside the historic, original Mead Bank building. On a cold night in October 1882, the wealthy, eccentric private banker Henry C. Mead was brutally murdered and robbed of $10,000 right here inside these walls. Despite a sensationalized national trial and three men later being taken to court, no one was ever convicted. It remains one of the state's oldest, most famous unsolved cold cases.
