Help shape the future of traded income support
About this Event
Norwich Consolidated Charities is committed to the long-term sustainability of the voluntary sector in Norwich. As part of that commitment, we've created a new fund to help local charities explore traded income (revenue generated through selling services, products or expertise) alongside existing funding, as a route to a more resilient future.
And we'd like you to help us design it.
Our one-day event, in collaboration with Creativity Unbound, will start with an introduction to traded income, what it is, what it looks like in practice, the legal considerations and honest accounts from organisations who have tried it, the good and the bad. The rest of the day is structured discussion: what would it take for your organisation to explore this, what's getting in the way, and how could the fund be designed to help?
We want to hear from organisations at every stage. Whether you're already generating traded income and looking to grow it, or you're yet to explore what it might mean for you. Both perspectives are important and what you contribute on the day will directly inform how the fund works.
We’re inviting a small number of Norwich charities and would ideally like you to send two representatives from your organisation - your CEO or senior staff member and a trustee. This will ensure we capture both the operational and governance considerations for developing traded income in your charity. Please reseve a space for each attendee.
The event will be held at The Space on Rowntree Way in Norwich, which is fully accessible with ample parking available and lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the day. If you have any accessibility requirements, please include them on the booking form alongside any dietary requirements.
