Help Shape the Future of Culture in Torbay
About this Event
About the Workshop
Join local residents, organisations, businesses, artists, creatives and community groups for an interactive workshop to help shape the future of culture in Torbay.
Over recent months, some initial ideas and themes have been brought together as a starting point for conversation. Now we want to hear from the people, organisations and communities that make Torbay's cultural landscape so special.
This workshop is the first step in a collaborative process to develop a shared vision for culture in Torbay. It's an opportunity to share your experiences, explore ideas with others, and help shape the priorities and ambitions that will guide the Cultural Strategy over the coming years.
Your voice matters, and we hope you'll join us.
Why Attend?
Culture plays an important role in creating vibrant communities, supporting wellbeing, protecting heritage, developing skills, attracting investment and strengthening pride in place across Torbay.
While some initial thoughts have been developed to begin the conversation, this is very much a collaborative process. We want to understand what matters most to Torbay's communities, what opportunities we should be building on, and where culture can make the greatest difference.
This workshop is your opportunity to contribute ideas, challenge thinking, share local knowledge and help shape a Cultural Strategy that reflects the ambitions of the people and organisations who live, work and create here.
Discussions will explore themes including:
- Community participation and wellbeing
- Heritage, identity and pride in place
- Creative skills and opportunities for young people
- The creative and cultural economy
- Collaboration across communities and organisations
What to Expect
