Please show up to show the judge and opposition that we take these matters seriously. Seventeen historians, archivists, professors, authors, and donors with decades of public service are suing the State Historical Society of Iowa for haphazardly and without public input deciding to close its Iowa City research facility and archives.
The court issued an order scheduling a hearing on our Motion for Temporary Injunction at 10/14/2025 at 9:30 AM at the Johnson County Courthouse, Iowa City, Iowa. Any of you or any other member of the public are welcome to attend the public court hearing.
