Help-A-Farm - Maya's Farm - Phoenix

PRIOR TO THE EVENT:

• Sign up for the event by clicking on the Sign Up link above.
• During the sign-up process, you will digitally sign agreements. These agreements must be signed before you volunteer.
• If you are under the age of 18, you will be sent a youth volunteer agreement outside of this portal that must be signed by a parent or legal guardian prior to the day of the event.
• ​If you are under 18, please put your parent or legal guardian's information as your emergency contact so we can send them the proper documents on your behalf.

• Watch our . Although the video needs to be updated aspects of the video are very helpful, so please set aside a few moments to watch this.

Event Date: December 7th, 2025

Event Time: 8 A.M - 11 A.M.

Event Location: Maya’s Farm - 6550 S 32nd St, Phoenix, AZ 85042

Event Logistics:

• AZSA is hosting a Help-A-Farm event at Maya's Farm to support local food systems and we need your help!
• Volunteers will arrive at the event, sign in, and grab food while they wait for further instructions
• An AZSA staff person will gather everyone to provide a brief introduction and a safety lesson, and we will hear from Maya about the tasks that will be completed at the farm that day.
• Volunteers will grab necessary tools and move to the work site
• Volunteers will follow the instructions they received but will also be able to ask questions to an AZSA staff person.
• AZSA staff will be walking around with additional tools to provide them as needed
• Expect to get dirty and have fun!

Parking Instructions:

• AZSA parking signs will be posted on the street to help you identify where to park

What To Wear/Bring:

• Long sleeves
• Pants
• Closed-toed shoes.
• Hat and sunscreen for sun protection.
• Reusable water bottle
• AZSA will provide a gloves, water jug, cups, sunscreen and snacks if needed.
