Every scarecrow on our trail helps us raise money for deserving charities, while making the Helmshore Scarecrow Trail a fantastic family event for our village and visitors.

Our Charities for 2026:-
� Milly's Smiles
Milly's Smiles provides a Milly Bag to families whose child has been newly diagnosed with cancer and admitted to one of eight Principal Treatment Centres in Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Nottingham, Cambridge, Oxford, Newcastle and Cardiff.
Each Milly Bag contains essential items designed to help and support families during those incredibly difficult first few weeks on the ward and beyond.
�Rossendale Phab Club
Rossendale Phab Club is a registered local charity providing social and recreational activities for people with and without disabilities living across Rossendale and the surrounding districts.
Register Your Scarecrow
This year we're doing things a little differently and moving to digital registration and payment.
Please complete this registration form to enter your scarecrow on the trail.
Registration deadline: Monday 26 October 2026
Once we receive your completed form, we will send you a payment link by text message.
Please note: Your payment will appear as Wick-edly Creative. We are using this account to process the Scarecrow Trail payments and help keep our event costs down. Your registration will be complete once your form and payment have been received.
What Happens Next?
We'll send your official scarecrow number and further instructions nearer the event.
There is no set theme – your scarecrow can be as traditional, funny, spooky, clever or completely bonkers as you like!
Don't live directly on the village trail?
You can still take part!
The Scarecrow Team can arrange to collect your scarecrow and display it somewhere along the trail or on the Village Green, so everyone gets the chance to see it.
We have plenty of places available, so please don't let your location stop you from joining in.
