Hell's Half Mile Film Series: Honeyjoon

We’re thrilled to include Honeyjoon in the Hell’s Half Mile Film Series this December.
Set in the gorgeous Azores, Honeyjoon follows a mother and daughter moving through grief in very different ways, with plenty of friction, flirting, humor, and unexpected connection along the way. Director Lilian T. Mehrel brings a playful, deeply personal touch to the whole thing, turning a story about loss into something messy, surprising, and full of life.
Exactly the kind of film we love finding at Hell’s Half Mile.
Synopsis:
June and her Persian British mom Lela travel to the romantic Azores for a grief anniversary, with contrasting ways of coping. A hot-and-deep surfer takes them on a tour as we surf the waves of life, loss, flirting-an unforgettable ride.
