Visit Winona’s Hello Winona! meet-up series offers community members new to the area an opportunity to connect with one another and the area’s best attractions and businesses through quarterly, free events specifically catering to new area residents.
Save the Date and RSVP today for the next exclusive Hello Winona! program on Thursday, August 21 from 5-7pm.
Participants will gather at Bluff Country Co-op’s Community Room to meet, mingle and learn more about Winona’s treasured healthful food shop boasting 2,000+ owners and serving our region using a cooperative business model and mindset. Guests will then be treated to green tea and a sushi demonstration by Misato, Japan native and new Winona resident Akebono Bhushan Sheehan. Akebono was first introduced to Winona through the Winona International Friendship Association’s Sister City Program.
“I fell in love with Winona and its people, and decided to move here in 2023,” said Akebono. “I believe, from the bottom of my heart, that this is where I’m supposed to be. I always call this Winona Magic.”
